Billy Watson in action
NORTH Hampshire golfers Billy Watson, Chris Blunden, Tara O’Herlihy and Katy Mackworth-Pread helped Hampshire to third-place finishes at inter-county events.
Watson, who lives in Sherborne St John, and Blunden, who is a member of Sandford Springs, were both in the county team who finished third in the Junior Foresomes 2014 at Felixstowe Ferry Golf Club.
Basingstoke Golf Club’s O’Herlihy and Mackworth-Praed, who is a member at Dummer, helped Hampshire to third place at an inter-counties competition played at Goodwood.
The team beat defending champions Kent but lost to Surrey and Middlesex on day two before bouncing back with a win over Sussex on the final day.
