THIS year has been a successful one for Weybrook Park Golf Club’s scratch team.
The Basingstoke club won Reading District Inter Club Golf League Division Two to win promotion to Division One for the first time in their history.
Top spot was sealed with a 5-2 victory over West Berkshire in the final match of the year, with Charlie Manning, Scott Coomber, Billy Watson, Adam Trewhella, Lewis Coomber and TJ Donaldson all playing their part over the course of the year.
The club’s Summer Singles title was won by John O’Connor, who beat Mark Stevens in the final, while Rodger and Phillip Bielby won the Summer Pairs, beating Steve Ross and Andy Hobday in the final.
Trevor Bave won the Rabbit Cup, with Graham Feakins finishing as runner-up.
