TEST Valley Golf Club have officially sworn in their captains for 2014.
Lady captain Pauline Benham, seniors captain Alan Davison, club captain Chris Page and junior captain Mackenzie Phillips all took part in the annual drive-in at the Overton club, teeing off in front of more than 100 other members.
A Texas Scramble event took place to mark the occasion, with the winning team made up of Barry Stevens, Peter Brice, Steve Sankey and Steve Purnell. John Cogan, Bob Sturt, Finn Dodd and Nigel Dyer were second, just ahead of Keith Mackrill, Colin Gulliver, Aiden Boxall and Darren Boxall.
History has been made at the club, with Alex Forrister following in his father John’s spikemarks by winning the club championship.
It is the first time that a father and son can both claim to have been champions at the club.
