BOTLEY Park’s Shaun Hall and James Ablett of Lee-on-the-Solent shared the spoils at the Sandford Springs Pro-Am.
The two players shot three-under-par rounds of 68 to finish a shot clear of the field, with Ablett also claiming victory in the team competition alongside Dave Thomas, Steve Thomas and Peter Starkey.
They were a stroke ahead of the second-placed team made up of Roger Tuddenham (Hedge End Golf Centre), Peter Price, Robert Price and Jon Hibberd. Simon Heyward (Weyridge Golf Centre) claimed third place alongside Roy Clayton, Justin Clayton and Dave Street.
Two local professionals also took part. Home pro Neal Granville carded 79 (+8), while Sherfield Oaks’ Ryan Alexander claimed the local bragging rights, going round in one shot less.
