NORTH Hampshire golfers Justin Rose and Stuart Archibald have both been in action this week - but neither was able to claim a victory.

Rose took part in the PGA Grand Slam of Golf in Bermuda, finishing second, while Archibald was 26th at the Ras Al Khaimah Classic on the Middle East's MENA Tour.

US Open champion Rose finished two shots behind Masters winner Adam Scott at the PGA Grand Slam of Golf, which sees the winners of the year's major championships go head-to-head over two rounds.

The former Robert May's School pupil led by two shots after the first day thanks to a four-under-par round of 67. He shot 69 (-2) on day two but with Scott signing for a remarkable seven-under-par round of 64, the Hook man ended up two strokes back.

Archibald is 34th in the MENA Tour rankings after finishing 26th at the Ras Al Khaimah Classic on +1, 10 behind winner Zane Scotland.

The Worting man played solid golf but was never able to get himself in contention for the title, shooting rounds of 73 (+1), 73 (+1) and 71 (-1).

Archibald is back in MENA Tour action on Monday, playing in the Abu Dhabi Golf Citizen Open at Saadiyat Golf Club.
