BRADLEY Sutton’s outstanding 2014 saw him win the Junior Men Award, having finished third last year.

The 16-year-old from Hatch Warren collected a fistful of medals during the year.

The teenager defended his Biathle World Tour crown for the fourth year running and was then crowned Biathle European champion with victory in Portugal.

He just missed out on a medal at the World Championships in Guatemala, but did help Great Britain to team gold.

As well as competing in Biathle, Sutton is also a member of the English Talent Programme and is looking to compete at a future Olympics in modern pentathlon.

Bradley said: “I had my best season ever so it is really nice to win this award.”

The A-level student at Hartpury College, Gloucester-shire, combined his studies with training and is looking for a medal at this year’s Biathle World Championship in Georgia.

He added: “Having just missed out on a medal at worlds, I really want to get one this year and I also want to retain my world tour crown for a fifth time.

“I am training hard and the Olympics in 2020 is my long-term aim.”

Last year’s winner, Basingstoke and Mid Hants sprinter Owen Richardson, was second, while karate’s Edward van Meerkerk was third.

Gymnast Megan Kealy completed a great year by winning the Junior Ladies Award, but she was unable to pick up her prize as she was away training with Great Britain.

Ice skater Danielle Harrison was second, while judo’s Shelley Ludford took third place.
