KENNET Ospreys went to Greenridge Farm Lakes, where two lakes were used for the 18 anglers, Lake Three saw Bobby Williams score with 47lb 15oz of carp up in the water on pole and pellet.

Bartosz Recki made second spot on 42lb 3oz using pole and maggot, Dwayne Seed caught 40llb 3oz on pole and maggot.

Lake Four was won by Steve Hunt with 59lb of carp caught on pole, meat and maggot, venue expert Pete Newmans’ 37lb 11oz was a pole and maggot job whilst I managed 20lb 9oz, the normally huge weights didn’t materialise and some caught very little.

Camrose AC took themselves to New Barlows Lake for their latest fixture and it was Mike Ravening who sorted it best, netting 31lb14oz of carp on pole and bread.

Adrian Bartle bagged 28lb 6oz of mixed on pole and maggot, Brian Orchard’s 22lb 2oz of carp fell to pole and pellet whilst match secretary Pip Seeny caught 16lb 8oz of mixed. Sixteen fished and caught.

Adventure AS travelled to Panshill Fishery near Bicester last Sunday where the aptly named Robin Guppy topped out with 56lb 4oz of carp on pole and maggot.

Dave Stratford-Way used pole and pellet for his 46lb 4oz of carp, Graham Shadwell bagged 45lb on pole and maggot followed by Gary Hermon with 35lb 10oz. Fourteen fished an interesting venue with no blanks.

This coming Sunday Kennet Ospreys are going to Frobury Farm Lake 2, Camrose AC are at Adventure’s Willow Pool, whilst Adventure have yet to book a venue.

With ‘er indoors penchant for booking holidays I was surprised to find my next trip is in May to Rhodes, I wouldn’t be surprised if a Tenerife doesn’t surface before then.
