ADVENTURE AS chose Watmore Farm for their latest venue and what more could Graham Shadwell have asked for than to win the match using sinking waggler and pellet to weigh in 96lb 8oz of carp.

Gary Hermon utilised the method feeder to record 78lb 12oz of carp, Graham Spiller’s 66lb 12oz fell to pellet waggler tactics as did Mark Blackmon’s 61lb 4oz of carp.

Sixteen fished and caught.

Camrose AC went to New Barlows Lake on Sunday last, where venue expert Tony Holdsworth topped out with 23lb 10oz of mixed on pole, worm and caster.

Match secretary Pip Seeny fished with pole and bread to record 23lb 2oz of carp.

Pete Morris pole and magged it for his 16lb 3oz of mixed whilst Bill Atkinson weighed in an even 13lb.

Fifteen participated and weighed.

Basingstoke Railway Piscatorials match at Dandys Ford last Saturday saw Keith Brown win with an amazing 171lb 2oz of carp, caught close in on maggots.

Trevor Matthews used a combination of paste and maggots for his 139lb 8oz of carp yours truly managed third place with a mere 81lb 2oz, whilst match secretary Dave Edwards concluded the frame with 69lb 10oz.

Twelve fished and weighed.

This coming Sunday Adventure AS, Camrose AC, Basingstoke Railway Piscatrials plus a few Kennet Osprey members will be fishing Keith Brown’s Charity Match spread over Staceys Lakes and Willow Pool.

Kennet Ospreys have a match at Gold Valley.

As previously mentioned this Sunday see the annual charity match in aid of St Michaels Hospice.

As usual a breakfast barbecue will start at 7.30am on the island at Whitehouse Lake, then off to the various venues for the matches, after the weigh ins it’s back to Whitehouse for the raffle draw, prize giving and a barbecue.

On Saturday, August 16 the Tony Skeats/Dave Powell Memorial Match takes place at New Barlows Lake in Tadley, if you knew these two Kennet Osprey stalwarts and would like to fish contact me on 07916 331424.
