KENNET Osprey’s match at Billhook Lake saw Simon (the god) Kiefer top out with 93lb 3oz of carp on pole and meat.

Kevin Downer was just behind, netting an even 90lb of carp on pole and paste, Ian Jones took third place with 70lb of carp on pole, paste and meat, whilst evergreen Pat Hollies put 67lb 4oz in the sack. Twenty fished some did not weigh.

Adventure AC fished their latest match on Gold Valley’s Gold Lake, where Gary Knight did the business on 82lb 4oz, all carp, on the method feeder.

Peter Fincham used the same tactics as the winner but fished in the margin to bag 78lb 12oz, Scott (meatloaf) Nelson, utilised the pellet waggler and bomb for his 74lb 8oz of carp and Gary Hermon fished in the margin on the pole and meat for his 58lb 14oz. Sixteen fished and one blanked.

Camrose AC fished a low scoring affair on Old Barlows Lake and match secretary Pip Seeny won it with just 9lb 4oz of mixed on the pole and maggot.

Pete Morris caught 7lb 5oz of all sorts on pole and maggot, whilst Paul Bassinder had an all carp bag of 6lb 2oz, venue expert Tony Holdsworth made up the frame on 4lb 9oz. Thirteen fished and caught.

Kennet Osprey’s match scheduled for this coming Sunday at Coloured Ponds has been cancelled due to lack of interest and no one available to run the event. This coming week’s fixtures puts Adventure AS on Whatmore Farm on Sunday, Basingstoke Railway Piscatorial at Dandys Ford on Saturday, Camrose AC will fish on Sunday at New Barlows as well as me fishing at Dandys Ford on Saturday I am going to Kings Lake in Salisbury on Sunday. A whole weekend away from ‘er indoors, I bet she misses me.
