BASINGSTOKE Railway Piscatorials went to Soke Road for their most recent match and Staceys Supremo Keith Brown weighed in 35lb 4oz of carp on pole and worm to win.

Trevor Matthews put pole and paste to good use and caught 30lb 8oz of carp.

Rob Carr (super star) weighed in 16lb 8oz of carp on pole and corn whilst yours truly made up the frame with 16lb.

Sixteen fished and caught.

Adventure AS fished their all winners match at the club’s Willow Pool, and Robin Guppy did the business, fishing the pellet waggler and bomb for his 83lb 8oz of carp.

Graham Shadwell caught carp, chub and bream on the same tactic as the winner and weighed in 77lb 8oz.

Darren Wright used pole and caster for his 68lb 8oz whilst Steve Davis weighed in 55lb 12oz.

Fifteen participated and fifteen caught.

Fifteen Camrose AC members were at Whitehouse Lake last Sunday and Steve Lewis trotted up with 30lb 4oz of carp on pole and pellet.

Runner up John Timney also used pole and pellet for his even 22lb of mixed. Ralph Sneddon caught all carp in his 19lb 2oz bag using pole and pellet, Brian Swindle made fourth spot on 17lb 12oz and all caught.

Oxoid AC were at Witherington Farm, Selwood Lake on Sunday last where Harry Roach caught 66lb 6oz of mixed on the maggot feeder.

Leigh Punters 55lb 8oz of carp fell to pole and maggot tactics, whilst George Coomber caught 30lb 4oz of carp on pole and corn. Six fished and caught.

Last Sunday’s Kennet Osprey’s scheduled match at Frobury Farm was called off due to lack of interest.

Oxoid AC’s next match is on July 9 at Witherington Farm, Basingstoke Railway Club will fish their rods only match at Dandys Ford, Lodge Lake on June 18th.

My next trip is to Venice with ‘er indoors but I won’t be fishing the Grand Canal.
