ADVENTURE AS were at Frobury Farm Lakes One and Two for their most recent match and in a tight event Steve Pawson topped out with 47lb 12oz of carp on pole and bread.

Dave Sexton utilised a similar method for his 46lb of carp as did Darren Wright for 45lb of carp and Alan Chadbone on 39lb 8oz. Sixteen fished but one did not weigh in.

Kennet Ospreys match at Bowsaw Lake saw Anthony Thomas run out an easy winner with 91lb of carp on bomb and bread, Ian Jones made second spot his with 55lb 11oz of carp on the feeder, (top two) Terry Bowles caught 31lb 5oz followed by Peter Wooldridge on 28lb 9oz. Sixteen fished but five did not weigh.

Staceys Match Group fished their latest match at Whitehouse Lake, where Paul Follington did the business with five carp for 37lb caught on the wag and mag.

Sam Skilton used the same method for his 16lb 8oz, two carp, Paul Cripps pole and magged for five carp and 15lb 10oz, Doug Whitford caught one carp for 11lb. Ten fished and two blanked.

Camrose AC went to Cheriton Farm last Sunday and Steve Lewis won the match with 46lb 4oz of carp on pole and maggot, Bill Atkinson caught 16lb 10oz again on pole and mag, whilst Pete Morris used pole and bread for his 15lb 10oz. Ten fished and caught.

Only five anglers turned out for the Oxoid AC match at Greenridge Farm Specimen Lake last Sunday, Del Baulsom won it with 14lb 12oz of carp on pole and mag.

Lee Smith came second with 2lb 8oz with Harry Roach third on 15oz.

This coming Sunday, Kennet Ospreys going to Willow Park Small Lake for a silver fish match, Adventure AS are off to Greenridge Farm, Basingstoke Railway Club are at Dandys Ford Fishery whilst Camrose AC will be at Old Barlows Lake and with the weather conditions set to improve I can envisage an upturn in weights.
