ADVENTURE AS fished their Christmas match at Dandys Ford Fishery and on an off form venue Mick Fordham topped out with 63lb of carp on pole, pellet and bread, Peter Fincham caught 24lb 8oz of carp on pole, pellet for second spot.

Justin Mabere made third place with his 22lb 12oz of carp caught on pole and bread, Allan Chadbone came fourth with 21lb 8oz. Twenty seven fished and all caught just.

George Coomber won the Oxoid AC match at Charlies Lake in Andover with 6lb 6oz of mixed on the wag and mag, Pete Matthews caught 2lb 13oz of bits on pole and mag for second place with Del Baulsom netting 2lb 12oz. Seven fished and all caught.

Kennet Ospreys match at Willow Park last Sunday saw ‘top two’ Terry Bowles score with 19lb 9oz of bream and carp on feeder and pole with maggots on the hook. Keith Saunders snared an 11lb 1oz carp on the final whistle to boost his weight to 13lb 11oz and give him second place. Steve Telford fished a tidy match on the feeder to net 11lb 13oz of skimmers to be third, whilst Roger Gilbert made up the frame with 9lb 11oz. Twenty fished a difficult venue and not all caught.

Basingstoke Railway Club went to Whitehouse Lake, Tadley last Saturday and it was Rob Carr (superstar) who did the business with 13lb of mixed on pole and maggot over ground bait, Stacey's Supremo Keith Brown was runner up with just 2lb 6oz of mixed caught on pole and maggot. John Hooley needed just 1lb 4oz to finish third with Match Secretary Dave Edwards making up the frame on 4oz. Eleven fished four blanked and much to the mirth of all concerned I blanked for the second match in a row.

Camrose AC were at Frobury Farm last Sunday and Brian (the bread) Orchard won with 23lb of carp on pole and you guessed it bread, Tony Holdsworth’s 16lb 8oz of carp was a pole and maggot affair whilst Match Secretary Pip Seeny was third with an even 12lb. Eleven fished and caught just.
