ADVENTURE AS went to Dandys Ford Fishery, and it was Mick Fordham who sorted it, netting 215lb 8oz of carp on pole and corn.

Gary Knight’s 177lb 6oz came from a pellet affair, Dave Butler used paste for his 173lb 4oz, whilst Mike Allen caught 143lb 8oz up in the water. Eighteen fished and caught.

Staceys Match Group were at the prolific Cove Pit at Theale, and Tadley Angling’s Kevn Roberts did the business with 227lb of carp on pole and caster.

Steve Davis used pole and meat for his 167lb, Matthew Butler pole and corned it for his 151lb 6oz and Keith Brown weighed in 147lb. Twelve fished and caught.

Camrose AC went to Soke Road Lake for their latest match and Paul Bassinder won it with 54lb of carp on pole and pellet.

Colin Thomas caught 39lb on pole and paste, whilst Bill Atkinson used pellet for his 32lb 8oz. Twelve fished not all weighed.

Kennet Osprey’s match at Coloured Ponds in Liss saw Mark (Red) Funnel win with 33lb 12oz of mixed on pole and corn.

Steve Telford put an even 22lb on the scales for second spot with Camouflage Jim next on 15lb. Ten fished and not all weighed.

Adventure AS Match Anglers took themselves to Worcestershire for three matches recently, round one was at Sulhampton, where Mick Fordham won with 191lb 8oz of carp on pole and corn with Darren Wright next with 183lb also on pole and corn.

On to round two at Woodlands View in Droitwich, where Steve Hunt won with 204lb on pole and pellet, Mick Fordham caught 183lb.

Round three was back to Sulhampton, where Gary Spiller edged it with 203lb 8oz on pole and corn, Steve Hunt caught 197lb 4oz.

Over the three matches Mick Fordham did best with Martin Wickens as runner up.

Due to unforeseen circumstances there will be no Basingstoke Championships this year.

The first time there hasn’t been a match since 1971, when Bill Ashfield (Adventure AS) John Wylie(Basingstoke AC) myself (Basingstoke Kingfishers) and Peter Pentelow of Two Guys Tackle sorted its format, over 150 anglers fished the first match on the River Kennet.
