KENNET Ospreys match at Bowsaw Lake was a feast or famine affair, Mark Parsons enjoyed a feast with 111lb of carp caught on the method feeder.

Ian Jones was two pegs away and caught 41lb on pole and pellet, Anthony Thomas put 29lb 8oz in the sack utilising pole and maggot whilst Camouflage Jim sat next to the winner and weighted in 20lb 4oz on feeder.

In total 16 fished, but some did not weigh in. Adventure AS were at Frobury Farm last Sunday, where Graham Spiller caught 48lb of carp on pole and bread, Darren Wright employed the same tactics for his 35lb 8oz of carp.

Trevor Tarrant caught 34lb 8oz on pole and bread whilst Rob Gallagher used pole and corn for his 32lb 6oz, All 14 caught.

Stacey’s Match Group fished a grueller at New Barlow’s Lake, Doug Whitford caught two carp and a bream of 6lb 8oz to total 13lb pole and maggot was the winning combination Bob Frost put 9lb 6oz on scales for second place again pole and mag, Sam Skilton wag and magged it for his 8lb 6oz, whilst (Hooverman) Andy Wicks caught 8lb 2oz. Camrose AC went to Frobury Farm Lake Two last Sunday and in a low scoring affair Les Partridge won with 6lb 15oz of carp and bits on pole and mag. Brian Orchard caught 6lb 4oz, one carp and bits on pole and mag, Pete Morris weighted in with 4lb 7oz also one carp and bits on pole and mag. All nine that fished all caught - just.

Charlies Lake in Andover played host to Oxoid AC for their latest match and it was Harry ( I Don’t Like This Place) Roach who won with 5lb 12oz of mixed on pole and maggot.

Tom Oates put 3lb 12oz of bite in the sack for second spot on pole and mag, and George Coomber rounded the frame off on 2lb 6oz. All nine caught.

‘Er indoors is never wrong, so she reliably informs me, and I always agree, for if she thought she was wrong for one minute on any subject with ensuing difference of opinion could seriously hamper my fishing. So I nod and agree.
