KEVIN Holmes found the bream in feeding mode when Adventure AS visited Whitehouse Lake for their match.

drawn on the unfancied middle peg on the island, bream to 8lb found their way to the bank, making for a 97lb 8oz bag, falling to pole, worm and caster, Steve Hunt was second with 37lb 8oz of bream followed by Kevin Smith on 27lb 4oz. In total 14 fished and caught.

Kennet Ospreys match at Dandys Ford saw Simon (The God) Kiefer win with 66lb 12oz of carp on pole and meat, Ray Shepherds even 50lb of carp gave him second spot pole and corn did the damage, John Timney caught 41lb 12oz on pole and meat whilst Graham Shadwells’ 34lb 1oz was fourth. All nineteen caught.

Camrose AC were at Old Barlows Lake, where Darren (Dodgy) Brown won with 14lb 1oz of mixed on pole and pellet. Paul Bassinders’ 13lb 5oz of carp on pole and pellet was second, whilst Tony Holdsworth caught 9lb 7oz on pole and pellet. Eleven fished and caught.

The Bato-Baits Bash at Bowsaw on New Year’s Day produced a win for Matt Stainer with 59lb of carp on the bomb. Mick Hales caught 53 lb of carp for second with Bartosz Recki third on 50lb. Twelve fished and caught.

Adventure’s match at Cheriton Farm saw Robin Guppy win with 73lb 8oz of carp on pole and pellet, Mick Fordham put 65 lb 12oz in the sack for second spot whilst Darren Wright’s 53lb 10oz and Graham Spillers 50lb 14oz made up the weights.

Camrose AC fished a match at Soke Road Fishery and match secretary Pip Seeny win it with 17lb 8oz of mixed on pole and maggot. Dave Boshers bream bag weighted 11lb 2oz and took second place with Peter Morris third on 7lb 12oz.

Kennet Ospreys match at Witherington Farm saw 10 start, but only four finished due to smashed umbrellas and broken poles. Camouflage Jim lasted to the end and won with 19lb 12oz of carp and bream on the feeder. Recki fished pole and pellet for his 15lb 8oz. I managed third spot on 12lb 12oz using the maggot feeder, as my pole got smashed very early in the match.
