KENNET Ospreys Silver Fish match at Watmore Farm was a windswept affair with unfavourable conditions keeping the weights low.

Ian Jones put in his usual solid performance and topped out with 15lb 4oz of roach and maggot and caster under the pole.

Match secretary Andre Grandjeans pole and maggot caught 12lb of roach made second spot, Matt Stainers’ 9lb 12oz of roach was third followed by Alan Whittear on 8lb. In total 18 all caught.

Camrose were at Frosbury Farm on Sunday last and in a low scoring match top two Terry Bowles won it with 17lb 8oz of carp on pole and maggot.

Tony Holdsworth 11lb 1oz was good enough for second place with Pete Morris third on 9lb 14oz of mixed on pole and maggot. All 12 that fished caught.

Adventure AS match at Gold Valley’s Syndicate Lake saw Rob Gallagher top out with 46lb 8oz of carp on bomb and meat.

Gary Herman netted 39lb 12oz of skimmers and dead red maggot and cage feeder, whilst Mark Blackmon caught one carp and two skimmers for 15lb 4oz. In total 10 fished and one blanked.

Oxoid AS were at Whitehouse Lake where Harry Roach won with 18lb of mixed on pole and mag. Pete Matthews filled second place with 15lb 8oz of mixed on the feeder, Del Baulsoms’ 10lb 4oz was next as 11 fished and caught.

Stacey’s Angling club have stocked Whitehouse Lake and new Barlow’s Lake with 570lb of bream up to 8lb in weight.

Already good pleasure catches are being recorded, whilst a mid-week match at Whitehouse Lake was won with 66lb of bream, so when the wind drops and the rain stops go fill your nets.
