BASINGSTOKE tackle dealer Bartosz Recki made it three wins in a row at Kennet Ospreys’ match at Watmore Farm last Sunday.

Pegged in a favoured area, Recki put 84lb 4oz of carp in the sack, all falling to slow sinking pellet waggler. Andy Leith’s 66lb 6oz was a combination of normal pellet wag, slow sinking feeder and slow sinking pellet wag. Simon Couling’s 49lb was a pellet wag affair, as was match organiser Steve Telford’s 39lb 12oz.

Eight fished and caught – just.

Camrose AC went to the prolific Cove Pit at Theale and it was Colin Thomas who topped out with 224lb 13oz of carp on pole and paste. Colin Ariss used pole and pellet for his 146lb 4oz, while Danny Williams put 127lb 15oz in the sack on pole and paste.

Fifteen fished and caught.

Adventure AS travelled to Orchard Lakes in New Milton, where match secretary Nick Sargent won with 145lb 8oz of carp on pole and paste. Mark Blackmon used pole and meat for his 113lb of carp, while Kevin Smith caught 103lb on pole and corn.

Twelve fished and caught.

Adventure AS go to Barston Lakes, near Solihull, this coming Sunday, to fish against 14 other club sides to determine who is the best club outfit in the country.

Having got through three rounds and a semi-final, the ‘Stoke side know that this is the hardest test. Team captain Nick Sargent is confident that the team will do well, and with some big hitters in the line up I’m sure they can.

Tadley Angling’s Kevin Roberts took himself to Shearwater Lake, near Warminster, for a pleasure session last Sunday and Monday.

Sunday saw him bank 29 bream to 6lb and 16 carp on open end feeder and mini boilies. Monday saw torrential rain put a damper on proceedings, and he only managed nine bream and four carp.

’Er indoors has got the hump with the weather and booked a holiday in Majorca.

The good news is that when we return there will be loads for her to do in the garden, leaving me free to go fishing.

Catch me next week.
