JUSTIN Rose will represent Europe at the Ryder Cup after a fifth-place finish in the Johnnie Walker Classic at Gleneagles.
The north Hampshire golfer went into the tournament unsure of his place in Nick Faldo's team for the event, which will take place in Kentucky later this month.
He began the event cautiously, shooting a level par round of 73 on the first day, but found his best golf after this, rounds of 71 (-2), 67 (-6) and 71 (-1) earning him a share of fifth place and securing his place in the European side.
See Thursday's Gazette for a full report and reaction from Gleneagles.
