JEAN Maton won four gold medals at the Commonwealth Powerlifting Championships held in Bournemouth.

Maton, representing England, won the Masters One, 84kg class, coming away with three individual golds as well as being the overall winner.

Her winning lifts were squat 170kg, bench press 110kg, deadlift 180kg for a total of 460kg.

The Basingstoke lifter also came away with second place in the best lifter award for the Masters One Equipped category, all this after competing recently in the World Masters Powerlifting Championships.

Maton is next in action at the British Bench Press Championships at the end of the month.
