KENNETT Ospreys are through to the second round of the Angling Times Super Cup competition.

Last Saturday at Billhook Lake they knocked out Cheam Social Club, taking four match sections to Cheam’s two.

The overall result was Ian Weathering 81lb of carp on pole and pellet, Steve Hunt 49lb on pole and pellet, Graham Shadwell 41lb using the same method, also on pole and pellet was Simon (the god) Kiefer for his 35lb.

Adventure AS went to Billhook last Sunday and Scott (meatloaf) Nelson did the business with 69lb 4oz of carp on bomb and pellet.

Ernie Malyon used pole and corn for his 40lb, Graham Hathaway netted 37lb followed by Martin Wickens on 31lb 8oz. Seventeen fished and caught.

New Barlows was the venue for Camrose AC’s latest match where Brian Orchard topped out with 66lb of carp up in the water on pellet.

Bryan Swindle was second with a pole and mag caught 26lb. Rob Frost used pole and pellet for his 23lb followed by Pete Morris on 13lb 8oz. Fourteen fished and weighed.

Basingstoke Railway Club were at Cheriton Farm last Sunday where Staceys Supremo Keith Brown made it two wins in a row with 62lb 8oz of carp on pole and maggot.

I managed 59lb 6oz of carp on pole and paste for second place, Trevor Matthews caught 49lb for third followed by John Hooley with 42lb 4oz. Fourteen fished and caught

Kennet Osprey’s latest match at Witherington Farm saw Glen Wills win with 80lb of carp on pole and corn.

Bartosz Recki caught 64lb of mixed on pole and maggot, Kevin Downer’s 53lb fell to pole and meat whilst Ian Jones caught 52lb. Eleven fished and caught.

This coming Sunday puts Oxoid AC at Soke Road, Camrose go to Old Barlows, Adventure will fish on their Willow Pool whilst Ospreys are at Timsbury Manor.
