KENNET Osprey’s match at Bowsaw Lake turned out to be the usual result from the usual pegs.

Graham Shadwell topped out with 117lb 13oz of carp on pole and bread.

Dan Blackwell put the method to good use and caught 113lb 10oz of carp, evergreen Pat Hollies used pole and bread for his 105lb 8oz whilst Dwayne Seed utilised the same method for 99lb 9oz.

Twenty fished but not all weighed.

Seventeen Camrose AC members went to Soke Road Lake for their latest fixture where match secretary Pip Seeny put 39lb 2oz of carp on the scales all falling to pole and bread.

Paul (the enforcer) Follington fished a neat and tidy match for his pole and corn caught 38lb of carp.

Brian Orchard’s 37lb of carp was a pole and bread affair, whilst Adrian Bartle fished the bomb and bread for his 31lb 4oz of carp.

Not everyone caught mainly me.

Adventure AS fished at an on form Whitehouse Lake where Darren Wright topped out with 66lb of carp on pole and pellet.

Gary Knight also fished pole and pellet for his 44lb 2oz of carp, Steve Palmer put 34lb 8oz in the sack on pole and maggot whilst Kevin Smith made up the frame with 30lb.

Fourteen fished and caught.

This coming Sunday puts Kennet Ospreys on Gold Valley Syndicate Lake, Camrose AC are at Whitehouse Lake, Adventure AS will be at Court Farm and Oxoid AC will go to Greenridge Farm.

With the demise of our local tackle shop Batobaits, that will be closing on March 31, the proprietors have asked me to inform customers who have gift vouchers outstanding to use them prior to the closing date.

Kennet Ospreys Angling Times Supercup team will be fishing round one at Billhook Lake on Saturday April 14 against Cheam Social Club, so good luck to them.

My match results have been so bad lately that I am thinking of watching ladies beach volleyball instead.
