LODDON Vale hosted the EIBA National finals for mixed fours and mixed pairs last weekend.
In the fours there were semi-final wins for Spalding beat Barking 16-11 and Bournemouth overcame Wiltshire’s Westlecot 17-15.
The final saw a comfortable win for Spalding, skipped by Matthew Orrey, beating Bournemouth, skipped by Ben Paulley, 19-9.
In the pairs there were semi-final wins for Hartlepool who beat Swale (Kent)18-6 and Welford on Avon (Warwick) who beat Norfolk 18-7.
In a closely fought final Lauren and Paul Mosley from Hartlepool beat Amy and Andrew Walters from Welford on Avon 17-14.
In the club competitions this week saw Gary Lovett beat Paul Knowles in the singles.
In the 4-wood mixed pairs Alice and Gary Lovett beat Marjorie Craze and Fred Goddard and Camilla Kingshott and Terry Heath beat Olive Richardson and John Holmes.
In the Aussie pairs Alice and Gary Lovett beat Sue and Mo Saunders and Margaret Coutts and Dave Goddard beat Stella and Tom Regan-Atkins.
