KENNET Osprey’s match at Billhook Lake was a cosy affair with 27 anglers participating, Matt Stainer sorted it netting 55lb 7oz of carp on the bomb and pellet.

Steve (I never moan) Shepherd fished a similar method for his 39lb 8oz, Bartosz Recki used pole with maggot for his 27lb 10oz, whilst Graham Shadwell caught 24lb. Some did not weigh and two blanked.

Camrose AC were at New Barlows Lake for their fixture where Paul (the enforcer) Follington topped out on 21lb 10oz of mixed on the wag and various baits.

Rob Frost caught 14lb 12oz of carp on the long pole and pellet, match secretary Pip Seeny used pole and mag for his 11lb 7oz followed by Tony Holdsworth on 10lb 7oz. Fourteen fished and caught.

Adventure AS went to Soke Road Lake on Sunday where Gary Knight won with 32lb of carp on pole and mag. Rob Gallagher caught 31lb 4oz of carp on pole and corn, Kevin Smith’s 27lb 8oz was on the same method as was Dave Stratford-Way’s 24lb 4oz. Fourteen fished and caught.

Basingstoke Railway Piscatorials went to Cheriton Farm last Saturday where the weather reduced the field to nine.

Trevor Matthew won the event with 95lb of carp on pole and mag. Staceys Supremo Keith Brown’s 76lb 8oz was caught on the same method whilst Lyn Matthews put 67lb 8oz in the sack. All caught.

This coming week Adventure AS will be at Billhook Lake, Camrose are going to Frobury Farm Lake Two, Ospreys are at Dandys Ford, The Railway Club’s next match is on Sunday November 5 at Cheriton Farm whilst I along with some Osprey colleagues will be going to Salisbury to fish a team event on the rivers Avon and Nadder.

Er indoors is buying herself a new wardrobe for our up coming cruise, I’ve been told I must not look scruffy, but I like scruffy.
