THE Coveney family enjoyed triple success at the National Triathle Championships held at Leweston School in Dorset last Sunday.

Cameron Coveney came second in the under-15’s event and younger brother Charlie matched him at under-11s.

Mum Cat Coveney completed a great day for the family winning the female Masters A age group and also set a new course record!

This means we all qualified for the Great Britain World Championships team in Spain in September, but sadly they will not be going as it would mean more time off school and the costs are prohibitive.

Cat Coveney said: “On the plus side, it was great preparation for the European Championships in Portugal this weekend.

“It gave us all confidence that our daily training efforts are earning dividends and we are very excited about our triathle and biathle competitions as part of the Great Britain teams.”
