ADVENTURE AS went to Soke Road Lake, where Gary Hermon did the business with 49lb of carp on pole and pellet.

Match secretary Nick Sargent’s second placed 46lb 10oz of carp was a pole and maggot bag.

Robin Guppy netted 36lb 8oz of mixed on pole and pellet, whilst Scott (meatloaf) Nelson completed the frame with a worm and pole bag of 34lb 10oz. All 17 caught.

Basingstoke Railway Piscatorials fished their latest match at Cheriton Farm and it was Keith (Cheriton) Brown who topped out, netting 109lb 4oz of carp on pole and maggot.

I managed second spot on 89lb of pole and paste caught carp, Alan Wells sprinted into third place with 84lb 4oz of margin caught carp, using meat and Trevor Matthews finished fourth with 77lb 12oz. All 15 weighed.

Camrose AC made Whitehouse their venue, where Brian Swindle took the honours pole and pelleting it for 50lb 11oz of carp.

Brian Orchard utilised pole and caster for his 41lb 7oz of mixed, John Ambrose used a pole and bread combination for 27lb 12oz of mixed, whilst Paul Follington caught 18lb 14oz of allsorts on pole and meat. Fourteen fished and caught.

A disappointing nine anglers turned out for Kennet Osprey’s latest match at Marsh Farm, where Colin Thomas scored with 47lb 8oz of mainly tench on pole and pellet from the margin.

Graham Shadwell made second spot with 29lb 13oz, followed by Jim Brownlees 20lb 4oz. Some caught well, some struggled and not all weighed.
