KENNET Ospreys fished their latest match at Whatmore Farm where Mark Funnel steamed past the opposition with 148lb 2oz of carp on the slow sinking waggler and pellet.

The same tactics used by Matt Stainer for his even 57lb, Simon Couling for his 36lb 12oz and Phil Rogers 29lb 7oz.

Eighteen fished several blanked and some took an early bath.

Adventure AS were at Billhook Lake on Sunday last and Graham Spiller did the business with 136lb 2oz of carp on pole and meat.

Gary Knight employed pole and bread tactics for his 82lb 6oz of carp, Steve Pawsons 67lb 4oz was a pole and corn bag whilst Mick Fordham caught 60lb on pole and pellet.

Sixteen fished and caught.

Staceys Match Group went to Soke Road Lake for their match where Steve Davis fished pole and caster to land 47lb 8oz of carp.

Doug Whitford mag and wagged it for his 34lb of mixed, Matthew Butler made third place with 26lb of carp on pole and corn with Vinnie Smith weighing in 26lb.

Thirteen fished. Keith Brown’s phone fell in the water, and our intrepid supremo stripped off and retrieved the phone, his ring tone is now I’m forever blowing bubbles.

Camrose AC fished at Adventure’s Willow Pool last Sunday and match secretary Pip Seeny topped out with 52lb 8oz of carp on the pellet waggler.

Paul Bassinder was runner up using the same method for his 39lb 2oz, Tony Holdsworth employed the method feeder for his 39lb as did Pete Morris for his 38lb. Fourteen fished and weighed.

I am not having the best of the draw lately and to say my results of late have been bad is an understatement, so while ‘er indoors is looking for our next holiday I suggested a trip to North Korea which will be infinitely more exciting then my fishing.
