BASINGSTOKE Hockey Club are hosting the Regional Over 60s Ladies Masters Tournament at Down Grange over this weekend.
This pits all of the regional English teams against each other including South England, North England, Midlands, East of England and West of England.
Most of the players that represented England in the World Cup in Australia last year will be attending with games from 10am to 4pm each day. Basingstoke member Sue Pett will be playing for the South England, and Mark Smith will be helping manage the team.
This is the first time the event has been held in the South, with club members Sarah Mainprise and Miranda Smith part of the organising team. People are welcome to come down to the club, which will be open and serving hot and cold refreshments.
