FATHER and son Rob and Jordan Collard return to action this weekend, when the Brands Hatch Indy circuit hosts the opening round of the British Touring Car Championship.

Hook’s Rob Collard will race in the main event looking to improve on his best ever finish last season, when he came fifth in driver’s championship.

His youngest son Jordan Collard will be action in one of the support races the Ginetta Junior Championship.

Rob Collard is part of a star stunned line-up at West Surrey Racing, which also includes the 2009 and 2014 champion Colin Turkington and 2013 champ Andrew Jordan, the current Independent Drivers’ champion.

“This year is going to be really tough as the competition from my own team mates is going to be great. Last year which was my best so far, so I really think I can win the championship, but this will only happen if you are consistence at every event."

Collard added: “I have won the first race a couple times in recent years. but I am really looking for a solid points haul from the first weekend, which I can build on."

His son Jordan, is now in his second season in the Ginetta Championship and this season is racing for HHC Motorsport.

Father Rob said: “I am looking forward to see how Jordan does this year. I have high hopes, he will do well, being his second season.”
