POPLEY powerboat racer Daisy Coleman and her brother Sam Coleman are really looking forward to defending their PI SuperStock UK crown, when the new season starts in mid June.

Last year the pair won the crown at Bournemouth, having arrived on the Dorset coast heading the leaderboard in their Pertemps P1 Panther.

The duo secured their first ever British title with a third place in race one off the coast of Dorset, and then turned on the style to take the crown with a double victory.

It capped a superb season which saw them tied after the first event at Scarborough, but back-to-back wins in Greenock saw them take control.

The pair received their winners’ trophy at the P1 Annual Awards Ceremony held at Wotton House in Surrey.

The pair were quick to dedicate their victory to former champion John Wilson in recognition of his huge contribution to the team.

Looking ahead to this year’s racing Daisy Coleman said: “We cannot wait to get out and defend our crown and it will be exciting to race in Denmark.

This year the British Championships starts in Aalborg in Denmark (June 10/11). A fortnight later, the action moves to Scotland and Greenock.

The Welsh pair will then hope to do well, when the race calendar moves to Milford Haven in the middle of July with the final round at Scarborough on the first weekend of September.
