NEARLY 100 children and adults attended the United Sports Karate Organisation’s (USKO) autumn course at various USKO clubs throughout Hampshire.

In total 15 members from the Basingstoke club were successful in taking their belt gradings from beginners to brown belts.

There were four kata competitions for different ages and levels of students.

Basingstoke students enjoyed great success as they came away with medals.

Competing in the age category of seven to 11-year-olds, Mason Cameron came home with a silver medal and James Albrecht made it a club double as picked up a bronze medal.

The club did even better in the brown bel kata as they collected a clean sweep of medals as Cody Morton, Joshua Faulkner and Morgan Squire.

There was further success in the teen/adult beginner group with another double winning success.

This was after Mya Bradford and Tracy Morton picked up gold and silver medals.
