BASINGSTOKE quarterback Bruin White enjoyed more success at the helm of the Solent Thrashers Youth offence as he guided them for the second year running to the BritBowl this Saturday.

The under-17 side completed their regular season with a 100 per cent record with a perfect 12-0 record.

They now travel to Doncaster ranked number two in the final eight teams looking to be crowned British champions.

Their final three victories of the season, came in their home tournament at home, at the Richard Taunton College in Southampton and recorded wins over the Sussex Thunder (32-0) and Cornish Sharks (34-2).

The third team, the Swindon Storm withdrew from the game against us citing player safety as an issue.

In their previous tournament their first game was against the Sussex Thunder, the offence scored on every possession in the first half, as running backs Kieran Higgins and Scott Olive dominated on the ground.

Quarterback White picked the Thunders defence apart through the air as he hit wide receivers Tom Moore and James Green for touchdowns.

The defence got in on the act too, recording two two point safeties as they won 32-12.

Game two saw Solent face home team Swindon Storm and the Thrashers carried on their winning ways as White found Moore and Green again for two more touchdowns each through the air as the Thrashers dominated and ran out clear winners 30-6.

In the final match, the Thrashers trailed after the Cornish Sharks scored on their first possession. Solent hit back as Sam Gee intercepted the Sharks quarterback and ran the length of the field to score.

White added two more passing touchdown to take his tally to eight for the day as he found Moore twice in a 30-8 victory.

Also during the summer, White helped the Thrashers Juniors to a 16-14 victory over South London Renegades in the first ever meeting between the teams.

South London led early 8-0, before quarterback White hit wide receiver James Green for a 30 yard touchdown.

The Renegades returned the opening kick-off of the second half, but White with a 31-yard pass found tight end Ethan Cooper to tie the game 14-14 and they won thanks to a safety.
