ADVENTURE AS were at Greenridge Farm on Sunday last, where Mick Fordham scored with 191lb 8oz of carp on pole and meat from the specimen lake, Robin Guppy drew on lake four and duly won it with 176lb using pole and corn.

Kevin Smith caught 168lb 8oz of carp from the specimen lake on a pole and corn approach.

Whilst Gary Knight made up the frame with 118lb 6oz on pole and pellet from lake four. All 19 caught.

Basingstoke Railway Club fished their latest match at Cove Pit and Mick Brown recorded 147lb 4oz of carp on pole and corn for a popular win.

I took second spot with 133lb 4oz of carp caught on paste and two plus two, Trevor Matthews fished pellet on the pole for his 118lb of carp whilst Rob Carr (Super Star) had to settle for fourth place with 106lb 2oz using pole and corn. Eighteen fished and caught, but George Ramsay took an early bath.

Camrose AC took themselves to Cheriton Farm and Ralph Sneddon sorted it best, using pole and pellet for 74lb 12oz of carp.

Top Two Terry Bowles used exactly that method in conjunction with meat for 50lb 14oz of carp.

Match Secretary Pip Seeny caught 54lb on pole and corn, with Brian Orchard making up the frame on 51lb 4oz. Thirteen fished and weighed.

Kennet Osprey’s match at South Hill Park Bracknell was a low turnout affair, but the sport was reasonable with Keith Saunders topping out on 114lb 8oz of carp initially on the method but latterly up in the water on pellet and pole.

Graham Shadwell utilised the same tactics for his 83lb 12oz, Camouflage Jim used the method for his 62lb 14oz, Andy Leith caught 54lb 12oz. Eight fished and caught.

This coming Sunday Adventure AS are going to Timsbury Manor, Camrose AC are at Soke Road, Kennet Osprey will be at Watmore Farm whilst Basingstoke Railway Club are going to Greenridge Farm in a fortnight.

I’ve been asked by many anglers and non anglers why I don’t write about “er indoors any more?

The simple answer is, she runs the house, does the odd jobs, gardening, decorating, is a financial genius and babysits my grandchildren, I go fishing, what more can I say?
