HAMPSHIRE Court recorded an excellent 8-0 success over Overton in the Basingstoke and District Tennis League Ladies Division One.
The winning Hampshire Court team was made up of Emma Giddings/Tina Wood and Helen Raines/Sally Cackett beat Overton 8-0, but they then lost 6-2 against Oakley with Julie Frankland/Elaine Witham being unbeaten for the Oakley side.
The Oakley team also got a draw at Andover with Claire Coomer/Claire Reid winning all their sets for the home team.
Old Basing A got a first win of the season with a 6-2 score against Goodworth Clatford, Penny Luke/Sandie Benham getting the maximum. Aldermaston A beat Beechdown A 6-2 in their first match.
In Division Two, the Odiham ladies team drew with Winchester A and a maximum from Judith Mole/Clare Checketts saw Preston Candover through to a first win of the season which was 7-1 against Winchester B.
In Division Three, Odiham B are looking strong after a third win against Beechdown B 7-1 with Emma Barnes/Aimee Paterson winning all their sets.
Goodworth Clatford B are also chasing the title after they made it three wins from three with a 6-2 result against Hampshire Court.
A maximum from Lynne Thomas/Kathy Elliott gave Old Basing B a 7-1 win over Beechdown C. Totally Tennis beat Whitchurch 5-3 with Amy Coughlan/Jacqui Black being unbeaten.
