DAREN Bavister the match day announcer for Reading FC and the Basingstoke Bison made his England debut last Friday, as they took on Australia and described it as awesome.
Bavister was called in after impressing at the Non League Finals day and said: I certainly put my signature stamp on the event with many Bison fans commenting on my Facebook page that it was obvious hearing me in the background on TV.
"The welcome in the north east was tremendous and a real privilege and honour to call out our national team, adding the fact that I enjoyed announcing Marcus Rashford's historic opener."
Tonight, he will not be announcing at the England Portugal game, but has been asked to host a small fans event of 600 people in the build up to the big game with a question and answer session with the legendary Peter Shilton.
