AS PART of National Croquet Day on Sunday, the Basingstoke club will be giving the chance for people to try the game at their home at Down Grange, on the lawn is up the hill to the left of the Toby Carvery entrance.
You can join the club members from 10am to midday and 2pm until 4pm. The only condition is you wear flat shoes.
The club play two types of the game Association Croquet a game of skill and tactics, not unlike snooker on grass and the simpler form Golf Croquet which is easier to play and more of a social event.
If you cannot make this Sunday then come along to Down Grange on a Saturday morning (10am) no previous experience is required.
