OLD Basing Archers won the annual friendly shoot against Bowmen of Burleigh at the Recreation Ground.
The home archers came out on top 49-42 against the Wokingham-based Burleigh’s 42. The two clubs have been competing for the trophy for decades and take turns to host.
This year 17 archers from Burleigh joined the Old Basing archers for a series of York, Hereford, Bristol and National rounds shooting Barebow, compound, longbow and recurve bows over distances up to 100 yards.
