OVERTON Black Arrows now have four qualified archery coaches at the club after Mike Humprhries passed his archery GB Level One coaching assessment.

Club president Peter Turner was awarded a Silver Plaquette by the Archery GB for recognition of his work in archery since 1962, when he was one of the founder members of the Overton Black Arrows.

A field and target national judge who was a member of the national field squad and helped organise the World Field Archery Championships in 1982 at Kingsclere and the World Games, London in 1985.

In the Perris Junior League match Overton scored 666 to Selby's 409 with individual scores being Alex Allam (243), Luke Aldridge (218) and Andrea Thorn (205).

On Saturday June 4 together with clubs throughout the country, the Black Arrows will be staging a Try the Sport from none until 4pm at the Laverstoke Archery Range.

New beginners courses starts on Tuesday June 14 for six weeks. Anyone interested can contact peter@overtonblackarrows.org to have registration details sent to you.
