DESPITE the wind and rain 18 anglers still turned out for the Adventure AS match at Frobury Farm. Mick Fordham dabbed bread to take the match with 98lb of carp, Martin Wickens pole and bread caught 58lb 12oz for second, Steve Pawson used pole and bread for his 46lb 8oz, as did Gary Herman for his 44lb 8oz.

Ospreys match at Dandys Ford last Sunday saw long pole adept Ray Shepherd score with 47lb of carp at 16 metres on corn; Steve Hunt used the same bait close in for his 46lb 8oz. Pete Newman weighted in with 43lb 8oz of carp on bread followed by Terry Bowles even 40lb. All 15 caught.

Camrose AC went to Bream Mecca Whitehouse Lake last Sunday where Darren (Dodgy) Brown put 46lb 12oz of the species in the sack on pole and mag. Rob Frost caught 22lb of bream on pole and mag, while Pip Seeny netted 21lb 10oz of mixed and Dave Bosher weighted in with 14lb 8oz.

Basingstoke Railway Club took themselves to Cheriton Farm for their latest match saw yours truly win with 24lb of carp on the maggot feeder. Alan Wells caught 17lb 8 oz of carp on the method while match secretary Dave Edwards had the same weight on corn close in. All 12 fished and caught.

Adventure AS went to Whitehouse Farm recently and Rob Gallagher topped out with 55lb of bream on pole and pellet. Steve Pawson was runner-up on 44lb all carp on pole and bread. Mick Fordham’s 29lb 12oz was a bream bag on pole and mag.

Last week’s Camrose match at New Barlows Lake saw Pete Morris score with 27lb 6oz of mixed on pole and maggot. Paul Bassinder fished long pole for his 13lb 3oz using maggot as bait. Rob Frost’s even 10lb came next followed by 9lb 14oz caught by Colin Thomas. All 13 fished and caught.

Kennet Ospreys match at Gold Valleys Syndicate Lake saw a certain Peter Howes catch two carp on the bomb and meat and win with 21lb 8oz. Bartosz Recki caught two carp also on the bomb and meat for 20lb 8oz. Tomasz Wojick made third spot on 16lb. Of the 13 fished not all caught.
