KENNET Ospreys match took place at Gold Valleys’ Middle Lake last Sunday.

The venue was in a feast or famine mood, for some bites were at a premium.

This was not so for drawbag specialist Steve Hunt, who pulled fancied peg 95 and bagged 164lb 8oz of carp on bomb, pole and corn to take first place.

Steve Telford opted for a pole bomb and pellet approach and was rewarded with 35lb 8oz of carp.

Graham Shadwell’s 32lb 4oz was again a bomb and pellet affair as came in third.

Gerry Nickells completed the frame with an even 32lb.

After this 27 anglers retired to the clubhouse for food and drink.

There was a well stocked tables of prizes including a £50 voucher donated by John Raison.

Camrose AC found the going hard at the normally prolific Cheriton Farm.

Match secretary Pip Seeny needing just 31lb 8oz of carp on pole and maggot to score.

Top two Terry Bowles caught 35lb 14oz of carp on pole and pellet for second place,.

Paul Follingtons’ 17lb 7oz was a pole and corn affair for third place.

Pete Morris caught 15lb 8oz to make up the frame.

In total 12 fished the club’s fur and feather event and all caught.

Adventure AS went to Soke Road Lake on Sunday last.

Gary Knight won it with 42lb of carp on pole and bread, Rob Gallagher's 25lb 8oz of mixed was a pole and corn affair to take second.

Graham Spiller took third place with 19lb 12oz of carp on pole and bread.

Colin Shepherd's two carp weighted 11lb 10oz both fell to pole and maggot.

In total 14 fished and all caught.

Basingstoke Railway Piscatorials fished at New Barlow's Lake for their End of Year event.

Les Partridge flew into top spot with three carp for 14lb on pole and maggot.

Mick Brown caught one carp for his 11lb pole and maggot whilst Alan Wells two carp weighted 9lb.

All 13 who fished all managed to catch as well.

All Basingstoke Club secretary's would like to express their thanks to Bato-Baits for their gifts for their Christmas matches.

Kennet Osprey's chairman Maurice Parsons has just had a knee operation.

All would like to wish him a speedy recovery and hope he keeps his wallet in his back pocket in future.

'Er indoors has booked a mini break just after Xmas.

So I will miss the Osprey Hangover match she said she didn't realise.
