ADVERTURE AS went to Dandy’s Ford Fishery for their Christmas match, and it was the aptly named Robin Guppy who took the honours with 103lb of carp on pole and bread from peg four on the canal section.

Mick Fordham fished the pole at 18 metres in conjunction with pellet to secure second place with 93lb of carp.

Scott (Meatloaf) Nelson weighted in with 76lb 12oz on pole and bread, whilst Dave Stratford-Way caught 66lb 8oz. All 27 participants enjoyed the after-match food and drink.

Kennet Ospreys went to Bowsaw Lake last Sunday and it turned into a Bato-Baits benevolent with directors Tomaz Wojcik and Bartosz Recki finishing with 63lb of carp on the method and 53lb 8oz of carp on the pole and maggot respectively.

Ian Jones took an even 50lb of carp for third spot, with Steve Telford’s 43lb 8oz making up the frame. In total 21 fished and caught just.

Stacey’s match group went to Soke Road Lake on Sunday last, where Tadley Angling’s Kevin Roberts topped out with 22lb 5oz, six carp on pole and caster.

Paul Follington’s four carp fell to pole and maggot and weighted 14lb 10oz, Paul Cripps put 13lb 8oz of mixed in the sack, followed by Stacey’s supremo Kevin Brown with 11lb 10oz.

Fourteen fished and one blanked, but I’m not allowed to reveal the carpenter's name.

Camrose AC fished their latest fixture at Old Barlow’s Lake in Tadley, where it was nice to see Paul Hunt (Abigail’s Dad) back to winning ways. A total of 12lb 1oz of carp found their way into his net caught on pole and maggot.

Darren Brown caught 5lb 3oz of mixed on pole and maggot to secure second place, with Brain Orchard making up the frame on 4lb 2oz. All 10 that fished all weighted.

This coming Sunday puts Kennet Ospreys on Gold Valleys’ Middle Lake for their Fur and Feathers event, whilst Camrose AC will fish their Christmas match at the prolific Cheriton Farm. Ospreys Hangover Match will take place on Sunday, December 27 at Dandy Ford Fishery.
