HOOK showjumper Southerly Roberts scooped victory in Dodson and Horrell National Amateur Second Round at Moores Farm Equestrian Centre in Gloucestershire.
Roberts fought off the challenge from 35 other competitors to win the event and book a place in next month’s Dodson and Horrell National Amateur Championships, which take place at Aintree Equestrian Centre in Liverpool from tomorrow.
Of the 36 starters 13 combinations delivered a first round clear to head into the jump off in which six double clears were produced overall.
Southerly posted the fastest of these double clears on board her own nine-year-old bay mare Fizz IV after they produced an accurate and quick round.
Southerly and Fizz crossed through the finish line in 34.60 seconds and this was prove unbeatable.
Kelly Blumberg from Tenbury Wells, Worcestershire took second place in 35.13 and Reading's Charlotte Crocker finished third in 37.04 .
