BASINGSTOKE and District Table Tennis League and defending Division One champions St Peters A are unusually playing catch-up.

At this same stage last season St Peters were running away with proceedings, but despite being undefeated after four games, they are five points adrift of leaders Hannington A.

It is some time since the division has been so competitive and just eight points separate the top six sides. The top four places in the averages are occupied by the Hannington A team.

At the bottom, Queens B and Hannington B are looking for their first wins of the season and KG A have won once.

Queens F and Queens D have won all their games so far in Division Two.

A pack of four sides are breathing down the neck of second-placed Queens D should they slip up.

KG B are mid-table and only deal in 6-4 score lines with two victorious and four defeats.

At the foot of the table OMI (formerly Portals) and BHS are finding life tough, with OMI looking for their first win and BHS with a single success.

Queens E are another side in need of a turn in their fortune with six straight defeats.

Division Three sees another inter-club battle as Aldworth C and D slug it out at the top. The C team hold a slender lead of three points and both have 100 per cent records.

Luka Stipcevic and Patrick Garlick from Aldworth and Jack Aldridge from AWE remain undefeated.

Queens J are still awaiting a win but have had the misfortune of facing the top two.
