NORTH Hampshire Road Club's Phil Watts won his age category at cycling's National 25mile Time Trial Championships.
The event was held on a course near Maidenhead and Watts stopped the clock at 53min 35sec to finish 45th overall and win his age-group. Jonathan Hobby was 82nd in 56:48.
Mandy Hibberd finished 29th in the women's event, clocking 1:10:43.
Watts enjoyed more success at a 10mile event held by his club at Aldermaston, stopping the clock at 21:23. Hobby was second in 21:48, with Alex Peterson (Handsling) third in 21:50. Mandy Hibberd was the fastest woman in 24:41.
Hobby was the winner of an Interclub Hill Climb against Basingstoke Tri Squad held at Faccombe Hill, near Hungerford.
Hobby completed the 4.3mile course in 13:54, with Andy Hibberd second in 14:24 and Andy Self a further four seconds back in third. Mandy Hibberd was the fastest lady in 16:01.
Watts also won a 10.9mile time trial held on the club's Mortimer course, stopping the clock at 23:35. Hobby was second in 24:51, with Andre Posthuma third in 25:47. Susan Parker was the fastest woman in 28:29.
