A MAGNIFICENT seven Basingstoke Bluefins swimmers have qualified for the ASA Summer National Championships.

Adam Milne, Mairead Barker, Finlay Evans and Mitchell Coombes have qualified for the ASA British Summer Championships, which are open to the top 24 swimmers in each age group and race.

Daisy Moore, Alfie Evans and Molly Goffin have qualified for the ASA English Summer Championships, which are open to the next 20 fastest swimmers in England.

The Bluefins enjoyed great success at the Tilehurst Level Three Open in Reading.

Kara Davies, William Sadler, James Marston, Lucy Redmond, Lucy Williams, John Holt, Alice Mardell, Lewis Fenn, Daniel Morton, Kieran Parker, Tom Bryce, Sara-Jayne Cowlam, Zoe Rounce, Max Shaw, Thalia Watkin, Kieron Hoare, Harry Marston, Chloe Garlinge and Emily Rogerson all won medals, while Isla Haynes recorded some impressive times.

There was more success for the club at the Milton Keynes Level Three Open.

Bluefins swimmers completed a clean sweep of the girls’ 400m Individual Medley gold medals from age 11 right through to 15-and-over.

Isla Haynes, Amelia Trist, Julia Lebosse, Molly Goffin and Mairead Barker were the Bluefins champions.
