Basingstoke youngsters compete at Giga Finals
BASINGSTOKE Junior Chess Club had three qualifiers participating in the Giga Finals at the Rivermead Centre in Reading.
David Liu and William Vanlint achieved three-and-a-half points and three points respectively in the under-10 age group.
Daniel Yu scored three points in the under-eight competition.
The Junior club will restart in September, while the normal club will continue over the summer on Wednesday evenings at Basingstoke Bridge and Chess Club.
