KENNET Ospreys’ match at Bowsaw Lake last Sunday, saw Peter Wooldridge in top position with 105lb 4oz of carp, caught using pole and meat.

Venue expert “Top Two” Terry Bowles used top two and meat for his 98lb of carp. Steve Shepherd employed the same tactics for his 78lb 4oz, while Gerry Nickells utilised the bomb and meat for 76lb 4oz and fourth place.

Adventure AS had their all winners match at the club’s Willow Pool, and Mick Fordham drew up the end where the fish were and pellet wagged 83lb 6oz of carp out. Match secretary Nick Sargent fished the waggler for his 35lb of carp and bream. Graham (Shaggy) Shadwell pellet wagged it for five carp, weighing 23lb 8oz, and Dave Stratford-Way caught carp and bream on the pole for 22lb 12oz.

Camrose AC took a trip to Frobury Farm Match Lake Two on Sunday last, and Colin Thomas did the damage with 43lb 5oz of mixed on the pole and meat. Darren (Dodgy) Brown continued his good run with 36lb 9oz of mixed on pole and meat. Paul Hunt had a mainly carp haul of 33lb 10oz on pole and pellet, while Colin Arris put 29lb 14oz on the scales.

Camrose are at Cove Pit at Theale this Sunday, Adventure go to Gold Valley, Gold Lake, while Osprey are at Watmore Farm Lake.

The Terry Bowles’ bash at Bowsaw Lake last Wednesday, saw himself top the weights with 85lb of carp on top two and meat (what else?) Andy Leith took second spot on 75lb of carp, again pole and meat, while Luke Sears caught 63lb 6oz on pole and pellet.

Whitehouse Lake at Tadley played host to King Heron AC last Sunday, and Tadley Angling’s Andy Wicks won it with 33lb of bream and carp on pole., corn and pellet. Paul Cripps’ 23lb was good enough for second place, followed by Stuart Bee on 13lb.

The weekly Wednesday Whitehouse wangle put Kevin Holmes in front with 42lb 8oz of carp and bream on pole and meat (not bad for a three-hour match). Darren Brown used pole and corn for his 18lb 10oz. Steve Telford came next on 17lb 8oz.

The inaugural Whitehouse wangle saw Steve Telford win with 35lb 14oz of carp and bream on pole and pellet. Darren Brown was runner-up on 19lb 8oz, with Rob Frost third on 18lb 8oz.
