VISITING cyclist James Boyman defied windy conditions to claim an impressive victory at the North Hampshire Road Club's Open 10 Miles Time Trial.
The event, which attracted a field of 63, took place on the A31 between Bentley and Alton, with Boyman (Farnham Road Club) covering the course in 19min 37sec to claim top spot.
Runner-up Tejvan Pettinger (Sri Chinmoy Cycling Team) was 12 seconds back, with Robert Moore (Pedal Heaven) finishing third in 20:32.
Phil Watts was the top home rider, clocking 21:09 to finish sixth overall and second in the Vets 50 category, behind Ian Greenstreet (Newbury RC).
Chris McNamara (Pedal Heaven) won the Vets 40 event, Chris Lord (Brighton Excelsior) was the Vets 60 winner and Richard Williams (Farnham RC) came first in the Vets 70 race.
The women's race was won by Natalie White (Charlotteville CC).
