KINGSCLERE Quails continue to head Division One of the Whitchurch League following their substantial 64-32 win over Marnell Blues.

Littleton Leopards blunted the progress of Howard Park A taking all five points with a score 55-38, to move into second ahead and Basingstoke Town’s Spades are third place having trashed Oakley A 72-42.

In Division Two, Whitchurch Blacks are the leaders with Andover A in second place, while Basingstoke Town Diamonds are third after being narrowly beaten by Oakley B 49-48.

Hyde Abbey B head Division Three, with their latest victory being at the expense of Howard Park C 50-38. Hook Foxes are third following their win over Oakley C 53-40 and Littleton Lumurs are second Division Four is being led by Old Basing Roundheads although they had to share the points with Whitchurch Blues, who only turned up with two rinks.

Blues are now hold third behind St Mary Bourne Merlins who beat Old Basing Royalists 51-42.

In Division One of the Basingstoke District Bowling Association League, Basingstoke Town continue to hold top slot, after their third win which was a surprising easy victory 69-46 over Kingsclere.

Alton who have only played twice went second after beating Old Basing 56-48, while Oakley are third despite losing a close match against Alton Social 58-52.

Howard Park who started the season strongly went down 60-56 at home to St Mary Bourne.

Division Two leaders Whitchurch are already tipped to return to the top flight with maximum points from three matches, this time they beat Hook 71-45. Andover went second after beating Oakley B 63-44.

Due to the weather no matches were played in the Stan Hardman League last Thursday.
