ADVENTURE AS fished at Cove Pit, Theale, last Sunday, where Dave Stratford-Way topped out with 98lb 12oz of carp on the feeder.

Steve Pawson used pole and corn for his 93lb 6oz of carp, while Dave Hathaway put 88lb 10oz of carp in the sack on the method feeder. Twenty-two fished and caught.

Basingstoke Railway Piscatorials were at Greenridge Farm last Saturday, where Rob Carr (superstar) won the match with 34lb 12oz of carp on pole and meat. I used paste for my 30lb 8oz of carp to pick up second place. Fifteen fished and two did not weigh.

Kennet Ospreys’ match last Sunday was at Billhook Lake, where Andy Leith showed his class by storming it with 131lb 8oz of carp caught up in the water on pellet. Venue ace Terry Bowles took second spot with 95lb fishing two plus two on meat. Twenty fished and caught.

Camrose AC went to MBKS’ doughnut lake and Darren (Dodgy) Brown took the cake with 24lb of carp on pole and pellet. Pete Morris used similar tactics for his 19lb 12oz. Ten fished and caught.

Kennet Ospreys’ match at Dandys Ford saw Ray Shepherd win with 143lb of carp on pole and pellet. His dad Steve netted a moanless 133lb of carp on pole and meat to be second. Sixteen fished and caught.

Adventure’s match at Greenridge Farm put Graham Shadwell on top with 62lb 8oz of carp on pole and meat. Martin Wickens’ 56lb 6oz was a pole and paste affair. Sixteen fished and caught.

Chaley Park played host to Camrose AC last week, and match secretary Pip Seeny caught bream and carp on the pole and bread for 15lb 8oz. Darren (Dodgy) Brown’s 11lb 10oz of mixed species was caught on pole and corn. Thirteen fished and some took an early bath.

Staceys match group were at Whitehouse Lake last Sunday, where Sam Skilton won with 24lb 2oz of carp on pole and meat. Tadley Angling’s Kevin Roberts made second on 19lb.
