ADVENTURE AC fished the prolific Dandy's Ford Fishery last Sunday, and match secretary Nick Sargent made it pay with 119lb 14oz of carp on the long pole and two plus two on meat.

Trevor Thornton bagged 115lb 10oz of carp on two plus two and meat to take second sport. Mick Fordham fished the margin on pole and meat for his 101lb 14oz, while Graham Spiller caught 94lb 8oz of carp on two plus two and pellet.

Twenty-one fished and caught.

Camrose AC went to Cove Pit at Theale for their latest match, where Darren (Dodgy) Brown took the honours with 65lb 14oz of carp on pole and maggot. Simon Couling came second, fishing with bread under the pole for 53lb of carp. Tony Holdsworth put the pole and paste to good use, netting 49lb 13oz of carp. Paul Bassinder utilised the method feeder for his 47lb on a venue where the amount of fish outnumber the population of China. Bill Gordon somehow managed to blank, that in itself is an achievement.

Twenty fished.

The Wednesday evening series at Whitehouse Lake, and New Barlows Lake at Tadley will commence on Wednesday, May 27, and run every Wednesday until August 19 draw at 5pm and fish at 6pm until 9pm.

Kennet Ospreys re-arranged match at Willow Park small lake was won by Gerry Nickells with an all carp net of 48lb, all the fish falling to bomb and pellet tactics. Phil Rodgers fished a bit of everything for his even 38lb of carp. Steve Telford employed pole and meat for his 37lb 12oz of carp, while Terry Bowles used his usual two plus two and meat for 32lb 8oz.

Sixteen fished and caught.

The highlight of my day was the Willow Park breakfast that I'm not allowed.

Oxoid AC fished their latest match at Frobury Farm's Match Lake One, where Del Baulsom put 50lb 4oz of carp in the sack on pole and maggot. Peter Lovegrove's 44lb 14oz of carp and Rudd was a pole maggot and corn affair. Geoff North's 35lb 1oz was an all carp bag caught on pole and pellet, while Pete Matthews 29lb 5oz was a mixed bag caught on pole and maggot.

Ten fished and caught.

Camrose are at Chaley Park Lake this coming Sunday, Adventure go to Greenridge Farm, and Kennet Ospreys will be going to Dandy's Ford.

'Er indoors mentioned that "we" should decorate the lounge before our trip to Majorca. I certainly don't like the word "we" so I will have to contract some obscure ailment that excludes me from any form of paint, paper or brush contact.
